Archeology of Tourism
Archaeology of Tourism takes the point of view of an archaeologist from the future, exploring, through different types of communication (stands, posters, maps, brochures), the history and heritage of the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik.
The detournement of these elements characterizing mass tourism allows transforming these usual cultural strategies to question the reality of a city and its legends (for example, the presence of Humphrey Bogart in Reykjavik during World War 2, for the shooting of an unfinished movie).
These works question our behaviour towards information and towards the diverse presentations of the history and heritage of a specific location.
