Virtuality

Virtuality is a series of works composed of a video and un ensemble of lightboxes.
Assembling screenshots of social network Second Life and texts, the lightboxes explore certain aspects of this virtual world, alternative spaces for contemplation and post-romantic “wandering”, but also powerful tools of consumption and marketing.
The video stages a situation deprived of dialogues between a male and female character. The first looks at himself a mirror while the eyes of the second reflect passed scenes. The slow crossing of a mirror attemps to express some of the multiple transformations that the virtual generates: multiplications of replicas and fluctuation of narcissism.

An audiovisual performance has been created from this series of works.
