Invited by France Los Angeles Exchange (FLAX) in May and June 2017, Etienne de France develops a video project called “Looking for the Perfect Landscape”.
This project brings up the question of land representation and historical colonial American appropriation of Native land and cultures. Grounded in Mohave culture and history, the video project, its storyline, and its development is based on researches, encounters and meetings that Etienne de France conducted with members of Colorado Indian River Tribe, elders and spokesmens.
